Portraits

Working exclusively in oil on canvas Danny’s portraits are mostly of head and shoulders with strong or vibrant backgrounds that reinforce pose of the sitter. Clients often remark that Danny’s paintings are much more than a likeness or an examination of a person, more that he exposes their natural beauty, perfectly capturing their physical likeness and spirit to produce a very intimate and arresting representation.

The selection of portraits here, most of which were completed over the last two years, demonstrates Danny’s often diverse but unmistakably direct style. The work includes private commissions, contemporary paintings that have been exhibited in galleries, and corporate commissions for companies and organisations.
